Give us the elevator speech about your project (as in how would you describe your project to someone you meet in an elevator?):
My project, Plan With Purpose, is looking at how we might help people create better behaviors to help them save for their personal goals.

What is your long-term career goal?
I’m not sure what position I might see myself in down the road, but I have a personal passion for marketing, community engagement, young leader development, company culture and project management. I love the credit union system and hope my career will be continuing to help teach people the importance of banking with a credit union!

Fill in the dots: The future of credit unions will be bright if ...
… we can help people understand the difference between a credit union and a bank—anyone who understands this knows where to put their money. (With a credit union, of course!)

What my generation brings to the credit union movement is …
… people who really want what credit unions are all about—I believe my generation cares about supporting local and making their communities a better place. They want to see their money do good things and this is exactly what we have to offer.

People consider me a leader because …
I genuinely care about helping others be their best selves. I work hard, share my knowledge and truly believe I get more from teaching others than they get from me.

Who is your hero and why?
This is going to sound cheesy, but my mom! She is the hardest working and most selfless person I know. If there is anyone who gives themselves fully to everyone around them and asks for almost nothing in return it is her.

Who is a must-follow on Twitter?
@LibroCU, of course … :)

What is your favorite CUES member benefit? Or, if you are a new CUES member, what benefit are you most looking forward to using?
I am looking forward to CUES Net—I believe we are stronger by working together, and how awesome is it to have a network of nearly 2,000 peers to learn from!

Online voters and a panel of past finalists narrowed the CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec field from 23 to the Top 10 applicants. The challenge, held in conjunction with DDJ Myers and powered by Currency, searches for emerging leaders age 35 and under from within the credit union industry.

The Top 10 will blog about their project. And to provide additional value to the competition experience, they’ll each receive an executive coaching session from DDJ Myers, a CUESolutions provider for succession planning, executive recruitment and leadership coaching services. A judging panel of two CUES members and Deedee Myers of DDJ Myers will then score the Top 10’s applications and blog posts, narrowing the competition to five finalists.

The five finalists will receive additional coaching, airfare, accommodation and registration to CUES’ CEO/Executive Team Network™, November 5-7, 2018, in Nashville, Tenn., where they will give their final presentations. The 2018 CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec will receive further coaching, airfare, accommodation and registration for two CUES’ CEO Institutes, a total prize package valued at $20,000.
